Join Joe Hibbs for this Level 1 mixed instrument class. Suitable for Beginner/improver players of all Scottish traditional instruments. With a focus on new tunes, group work, and arranging sets.
The Mixed Instruments 1 Class is for those who have grasped the basics of their instrument, and it will be led by fiddle player Joe Hibbs. The keys of the tunes will be restricted to G Major/E minor and D Major/B minor, and will be adapted to suit all instruments that sign up. In addition to this, simple chords will be given for each tune so that accompanying instruments can join in too. Various tune types will be covered across the five weeks of classes, and music will be given for each tune too. Tunes will be taught by ear and with music, to accommodate all learners.

What does level 1 2 3 mean?
These relate to the ability and level the class is aimed at:
0 = Complete beginner – no experience of your instrument.
1 = Beginner – Have only been playing for a short time.
2 = Intermediate – Have been playing for a while and can play some tunes
3 = Advanced – Can play and learn tunes competently
0/1, 1/2, 2/3 etc = Both levels are accommodated
No level indicated = This course is open to all levels but some experience is recommended.
